Team Needs: Cincinnati Bengals

Hurtin' for: a defensive tackle
In case you haven't heard, the Bengals are looking for a big guy inside. They have already failed in attempts to get Shaun Rogers from the Lions and Dewayne Robertson from the Jets (though the latter is rumored to still be a possibility). My sources tell me that the team is currently in discussions to get Tim Krumrie back from the Chiefs. Never mind that he hasn't played a snap in 14 years. Cincinnati needs help up front. It needs to help out the solid potential rushers that will line up at end in the persons of Robert Geathers and free-agent signee Antwan Odom. It needs to get much stronger against the run. Many mock drafts have had the Bengals taking Sedrick Ellis or Kentwan Balmer at 9, but if Ellis isn't around, I think I'd favor Red Bryant in Round 2 over Balmer.

Should be lookin' for: defensive backs
This need started out as tight end, but the signing of Ben Utecht should be enough for their purposes. Instead, now, the team can look for contingencies in the defensive backfield. Cincinnati seems set for at least the time being with its last two first-rounders -- Jonathan Joseph and Leon Hall -- at corner, but things get iffier behind them. The need will increase whenever Deltha O'Neal is officially done, instead of just looking like he is. At safety, two second-year guys are set to start. Although the coaches like them, insurance wouldn't hurt.

Will likely settle for: running backs and a receiver
There are a lot of options but little certainty at running back. Rudi Johnson might be better off moving on and could just do that if Kenny Irons proves healthy. Kenny Watson and Chris Perry will also factor in, at least until Perry's next leg injury. As for receiver, Chad Johnson's days in town seem to be numbered, Chris Henry is history and even Tab Perry is gone. This need is suddenly much more pressing than anyone could have guessed at any point over the past two seasons at least.
