Statline: In 47 games at UTEP, recorded 275 tackles, 17 interceptions, and 24 passes defended. Averaged better than 23 yards per interception return. 

Technique: Effective centerfielder in the secondary with outstanding ball skills, but lacks the athleticism to be an efficient cover corner. 

Known Injuries: Cramps in calves at Combine prevented him from finishing agility testing. Missed one game as a redshirt freshman in 2004 because of a hamstring pull.

Analysis: Demps has tremendous instincts and ball skills but can’t turn and run with NFL receivers. He’ll be effective in a centerfielder role and should contribute on special teams as well.
