Statline: In 40 games at Colorado, recorded 14 interceptions, 29 passes defended, and 156 tackles. 

Technique: Good cover corner who may be limited to nickel and dime packages because of questionable tackling skills. 

Known Injuries: Has had multiple surgeries on his right wrist, limiting its flexibility. The injury forced him to sit out the entire 2005 season and he had a metal plate inserted in the wrist. Has also missed time due to a sprained knee, a concussion, and hamstring and groin pulls.

Analysis: Wheatley’s problematic wrist may wipe him off of some team’s draft boards; others may look past the injury and see an athletic corner with solid cover skills. His size may limit his pro potential, but he should be able to contribute as a nickel corner at the next level.
