Strengths: Athleticism, height
Weaknesses: Didn’t face top competition, lacks top-end speed, durability concerns

Statline: In two seasons at San Jose State, recorded 13 interceptions and also had 14 passes defended and 92 tackles in 24 games.

Technique: Adequate cover skills but excellent ball skills; could project as a safety in the NFL.

Known Injuries: Suffered a fractured jaw in spring practice of 2007. While in junior college, missed five games in 2005 with a broken hand.

Combine / Workout Assessment: COMING SOON

Analysis: Lowery wasn’t exactly a shutdown corner at San Jose State, but his athleticism and ball skills project well to the next level. That opportunity might come at safety or in a team that plays predominately zone coverage, and Lowery will need to stay healthy to earn that chance.
