Statline: Four-year starter with a streak of 44 consecutive starts, first at left guard and then at center. Called signals for an offensive line that protected a passing game which rolled up 300 yards per game. 

Technique: Tenacious blocker with outstanding football instincts, but may be overpowered at the pro level 

Known Injuries: Played through a torn left labrum as a junior in 2006; ultimately underwent surgery on the shoulder and missed spring practice, 2007

Analysis: Lichtensteiger may be overmatched physically, but thus far he’s been able to get around that obstacle with smarts and toughness. He has great football instincts and a non-stop motor; his ability to play multiple positions along the line will make him at minimum a valuable NFL backup.
