Strengths: Strength, positioning, and motor

Statline: Started 43 games at Notre Dame, including 31 in a row; part of a unit that allowed 21 sacks in 2005, 31 in 2006, and 58 in 2007. 

Technique: Uses more finesse than power to neutralize defenders; lacks mobility to be effective if asked to pull. 

Known Injuries: Missed the final two games of his Fighting Irish career with a sprained right MCL, an injury he initially suffered during spring practices. Also limited by a high ankle sprain during 2007 spring practices. Suffered a right shoulder strain prior to the 2005 season that limited him during the first four games of the year.

Analysis: Sullivan’s strength has some scouts projecting him as a right guard in the NFL if he adds bulk, but he actually showed up lighter at the Senior Bowl and impressed with unexpected mobility. A four-year starter at Notre Dame, Sullivan may not make an immediate impact on an NFL offensive line but he certainly has the pedigree to contribute eventually.
