![]() Weaknesses: Not very physical, technique needs refinement Statline: In 43 career games at Indiana, recorded 16 interceptions, 24 passes defended, and 212 tackles. Averaged better than 25 yards per interception return and is only player in Hoosier history to return an interception, fumble, and punt for touchdowns. Technique: Ball hawk whose game is based on speed and athleticism; does not support the run well. Known Injuries: Fractured left clavicle cost him the final four games of his freshman season, 2004; missed seven games during his junior year of high school (2002) after fracturing his right forearm. Combine / Workout Assessment: COMING SOON Analysis: Porter is a quick, athletic playmaker whose initial contributions will come on special teams and as a nickel corner; in passing situations his primary deficiency, unwillingness to come up and offer support against the run, will be less of a liability. Porter had only two years of organized football before college so there is plenty of room for improvement in his technique as well. There’s always room in the NFL for speedy playmakers, but to what extent Porter is able to contribute will depend on his situation and his ability to add strength without losing quickness and play with more fire and physicality. |
