Royal is so quick he can consistently create separation from defenders and use his speed to make plays in the open field.

Analysis: Royal is blessed with blazing speed and can be a real playmaker, even at the pro level. However, his lack of height is a huge concern for teams because he may not be able to endure the punishment is dished out to receivers, especially over the middle. Eddie projects to be a slot receiver, but he’ll have to work on his hands before he becomes a trusted target of any quarterback. Whoever selects Royal will be hoping he turns into the next Wes Welker, but there is also a good chance he becomes just the next lightning fast wideout who is simply too small to hold up in the NFL.
