![]() Weaknesses: Plays a bit high, lacks burst Statline: In 45 games at Cal, recorded 198 tackles, seven passes defended, and one interception. Technique: Inexperienced, but capable in man-to-man coverage and run support Known Injuries: Sprained right MCL cost him two full games and limited him in another during his junior year, 2006; thumb surgery in September 2005 (did not miss any games); limited by a hyperextended left knee during preseason of junior year; missed first game of freshman year because of a sprained right ankle. Combine / Workout Assessment: COMING SOON Analysis: Four years of college football and only one interception is hardly a glowing recommendation for Decoud’s instincts and ball skills. However, his size and athleticism are definitely NFL-caliber and he has enough cover skills that some teams envision him as a corner. Without question he’ll contribute on special teams, and with good coaching he’ll be at minimum a decent nickel back; there’s also plenty up upside beyond that. |
