![]() Weaknesses: Lacks a mean streak, not strong or powerful for his size, has underachieved Statline: Started all 13 games as a junior but lost his job as a senior and missed time due to injury. Technique: Despite mammoth size, he is not a mauler. Has quick feet for his size and is a better pass blocker than run blocker. Known Injuries: Missed three games due to elbow, wrist, and ankle injuries as a senior in 2007. Combine / Workout Assessment: COMING SOON Analysis: Rare is the instance where returning to school is a bad idea, but in Dunlap’s case he did nothing to help his draft stock during his senior campaign. Not that he will be drafted for his production anyway; the 6-foot-8, 310 Dunlap is all about potential. He’s not particularly strong, especially for someone his size, and he fails to overpower defenders as a run blocker. His quick feet and athleticism help make him a very good pass blocker, and you have to believe some NFL coaching staff feels they can get him in the weight room and properly motivate him to live up to the potential his size indicates. Auburn likely thought the same thing, however. Whether or not Dunlap becomes a big-time pro player or merely a big body remains to be seen. |
