Analysis: Davis flat-out looks like a football player, but until his final campaign at Michigan State he did little on the gridiron to back up that assertion. He has all the physical tools but scouts question everything from his motivation to his character to his football instincts. His athleticism and versatility—he played defensive end as well as tight end for the Spartans—will convince some GM he’s worth a roster spot, but Davis will need to bulk up, refine his technique, and demonstrate a more positive attitude before living up to his considerable potential in the NFL.
