![]() Weaknesses: Raw, questionable football instincts and passion Statline: In three seasons at Penn State, recorded just three interceptions; also broke up 23 passes and notched 90 tackles in 38 games. Technique: Raw physical specimen with great speed whose game needs refinement. Known Injuries: None Combine / Workout Assessment: COMING SOON Analysis: King always seems to be in a hurry. He finished high school in three and a half years, graduated from college in just 35 months, and rushed through a 4.31 40 at the NFL Combine to elevate from a mid-round pick into first-day consideration. Trouble is, thus far King’s on-field production has yet to live up to the potential hidden in his athleticism and physical talent. On draft day, however, you’ll find plenty of secondary coaches and defensive coordinators on the phone to their respective war rooms letting the decision-makers know how much they’d appreciate an influx of speed. King will need to be coached up, as his technique is raw and he’s been surviving on his athleticism, but there just aren’t many players out there with his talent. Does that make him a first-day selection? It’s entirely possible. |
