Strengths: NFL Body.
Weaknesses: Played in the shotgun. Level of competition.

Statline: Flacco threw for 4,263 yards with 23 touchdowns and five interceptions last season.

Technique: Flacco worked out of the shotgun formation most of the time at Delaware, using his powerful arm to effectively throw deep.

Known Injuries: None.

Combine / Workout Assessment: COMING SOON

Analysis: If you were a scientist put in charge of creating the ideal body for an NFL quarterback, you would hope to produce something that looks like Flacco. He has a hulking frame and cannon arm. Those who place a great deal of value in measurables will love this guy and figure they can turn him into another Derek Anderson, who features an almost identical combination build. Before Joe can become a breakout star like Anderson he first has to adjust to life under center, something that former No. 1 pick Alex Smith has struggled with in his young career. Flacco will also have to adjust to much higher level of competition than he faced at Delaware. But with his impressive physical tools, some team will invest the time it takes to groom him.

Recent News:
The Baltimore Ravens, after trading up from No. 26 to 18 with the Houston Texans, select the Blue Hens QB.
Insight: The Ravens were eyeing Boston College's Matt Ryan earlier in the draft, but when Atlanta selected him Baltimore traded out of the 8th pick. Now, Baltimore trades back up to get whta it hopes is its franchise QB. Of course, they thought the same with Kyle Boller not to long ago. (Michael Hicks/SportsBuff.com)
