P: 4 O: 20
40: 4.80
225: 31
Shuttle: 4.36
3-Cone: NA
Vertical: 28.5

Strengths: Quickness.
Weaknesses: Run stopping.

Statline: Harvey had 49 tackles and 8.5 sacks a season ago.

Technique:

Blessed with quickness, Harvey excels at rushing the passer.

Known Injuries: None.

Combine / Workout Assessment: COMING SOON

Analysis: Whichever team selects Harvey will be doing so because of his pass-rushing prowess and not his abilities against the run. In college, he lacked the power to consistently hold the line of scrimmage when opponents rushed at him, and he needs to add leg strength before he turns into an every-down threat in the NFL. That being said, he is an accomplished pass rusher who should be able to quickly make a name for himself harassing quarterbacks on Sundays. Scouts believe that Derrick can soon develop into more of an all-around threat, which is why teams will be willing to overlook his weakness and grade him as a first-round talent.

Recent News:
The Jacksonville Jaguars jumped up from pick No. 26 to No. 8 via a trade with the Baltimore Ravens to select the Florida DE, who was an All-America selection by Tom Lemming, EA Sports, Riddell and Super Prep.
Insight: Maybe the first reach of the draft. Harvey was projected to go anywhere from 9th to Cincinnati down to 20th or so, give or take. Harvey should boost Jacksonville's defensive line, while Baltimore moves back to the back end of Round 1 to possibly eye a QB, be it Brian Brohm or Joe Flacco.
