![]() Weaknesses: Speed. Statline: Campbell registered 50 tackles and 12.5 sacks last season. Technique: Known Injuries: None. Combine / Workout Assessment: COMING SOON Analysis: In a draft with so many quality defensive ends, a player needs something unique to get noticed. By standing almost 6-8 and weighing in at close to 280 pounds, Campbell accomplishes exactly that. Calais is a strong kid with a great attitude who uses his strength and motor to consistently push himself into the pocket. And even when he doesn’t reach the quarterback, his height allowed him to tip plenty of balls. There are concerns about his conditioning and speed, but you can bet there will be a team in the first half of the opening round willing to take a chance on such a physical specimen. Recent News:
Campbell went to the Cardinals with the 50th pick overall on Saturday, a far cry from the "potential No. 1 pick" status that he carried into his junior season.
Insight: Campbell tumbled even further than his teammate Kenny Phillips. Still, he could earn a starting job soon with ends Antonio Smith and Darnell Dockett both locked in contract squabbles. (Matt Schauf/SportsBuff.com) More Reports2008-04-26 18:49:30 |
