Analysis: Felton isn’t the type of fullback you line up in the Power I, but an increasing number of teams are now looking for their fullback to be more of an H-back than pure blocker. This isn’t to say that he’s a poor blocker, but simply that it is not his calling card. Jerome’s skill set reminds many people of Garrett Mills, although the fact Felton spent his college years at a FCS school means that he’ll likely be picked much later than Mills, who went in the fourth round of the 2006 draft. The best-case scenario for Jerome is to be the next Brain Leonard, but it is more likely that he will be forced to earn his NFL paychecks on special teams.
