Strengths: Good athlete, good bloodlines
Weaknesses: Needs to bulk up, get stronger, and play more physical to succeed in the NFL.

Statline: Started 50 games over his four-year career, catching 203 passes for 2,175 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Technique: Not strong enough or big enough to play on the line; projects more as an H-back or slot receiver.

Known Injuries: None

Combine / Workout Assessment: COMING SOON

Analysis: The younger brother of Panthers defensive lineman Mike Rucker, Martin fits the new breed of athletic tight ends who are more frequently asked to stretch the field down the seam as opposed to providing an extra blocker in the running game. He has good size, though he’ll need to add a few pounds and spend some time in the weight room to bring the physicality of his game up to NFL standards. He also has decent speed and good hands, both of which are complemented by Rucker’s route-running abilities that allow him to find ways to get open. He was used all over the field at Missouri, experience that will serve him well at the next level. His upside would be something along the lines of Marcedes Lewis, Tony Scheffler, or even Dallas Clark in the right offense—a pass-catching tight end able to exploit the proper matchup.

Recent News:
Rucker became the Browns' second pick of the fourth round at the 111th spot overall on Sunday.
Insight: The younger brother of soon-to-be retired Panthers end Mike Rucker, Martin could be used as a blocker and get some time to develop behind Kellen Winslow II. (Matt Schauf/SportsBuff.com)
