Combine / Workout Assessment: COMING SOON

Analysis: Finley opted for the NFL after completing his redshirt sophomore campaign at Texas. On the one hand, it was a smart move as he has seemingly unlimited potential: a large frame, soft hands, pass-catching skills, and the potential to add bulk and become a more effective blocker. On the other, the learning curve will be steeper and the competition stiffer than it was in college, so Finley will need to add that extra muscle mass quickly in order to succeed at the next level. At this stage Jermichael is a better athlete than football player, so his combine performance could positively impact his draft status as he is expected to measure very well. Whichever team opts to draft Finley will do so based on his vast potential; if he lands in the right offense and receives good coaching he could be an offensive force, but it’s unlikely that his impact will be immediate.

Recent News:
Finley became a Packer as the 28th selection of Round 3.
Insight: Donald Lee took over the starting job in Green Bay last season and was just OK. Finley left school a year early and might still need some time to develop. If he speeds up the process, though, he could get some significant looks as a rookie. (Matt Schauf/SportsBuff.com)
