![]() Weaknesses: Needs to refine skills in the passing game, both as a blocker and receiver. Statline: Ran for 1,830 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior last season. Technique:
Known Injuries: He's healthy. Combine / Workout Assessment: COMING SOON Analysis: Perhaps you’ve heard of him? McFadden received plenty of Heisman hype throughout the season and was a finalist for the award in December. Although he lost out to Tim Tebow, Darren proved to NFL scouts that he was the real deal by reminding them of Adrian Peterson with his playmaking ability and impressive physical frame. McFadden is a homerun threat every time he touches the pigskin and should be an impact player immediately at the pro level. Running backs, even elite ones, have a tendency to fall on draft day, but there are enough teams in the top 10 that need a difference maker at that position to ensure McFadden won’t slip too far. Recent News:
With the No. 4 pick in Saturday's NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders selected the Arkansas running back, a two-time Heisman Trophy runner-up and two-time Doak Walker Award winner.
Insight: Al Davis gets his man. McFadden enters a crowded backfield that already has Justin Fargas, Lamont Jordan, Dominic Rhodes and Michael Bush. Expect Jordan to be a salary-cap casualty and for McFadden to take over as Oakland's starter sooner rather than later. (Michael Hicks/SportsBuff.com) More Reports2008-04-26 12:32:01 |
