Strengths: Mechanics. Football smarts.
Weaknesses: Durability. Won't run for any first downs if he escapes the pocket.

Statline: 4,024 yards with 30 touchdowns and a dozen INTs as a senior.

Technique: Brohm is a classic drop-back passer.

Known Injuries: Brian suffered a torn ACL in 2005. He also missed multiple games with a thumb injury the following season and had shoulder surgery in 2007. An ankle injury kept him out of the Senior Bowl.

Combine / Workout Assessment: COMING SOON

Analysis: Brohm entered his senior year as the nation’s top quarterback prospect, but lingering concerns about his durability and a senior season that failed to live up to the Heisman hype has curbed some of the enthusiasm scouts had. However, he still grades out as a first-round pick and may be the second signal caller taken off the board. He is a standard drop-back quarterback who doesn’t have much speed, but can avoid the rush with his feet. The reason Brian will be such a hot commodity on draft day is because he finished his college career with some impressive numbers and has the natural tools to potentially develop into a franchise quarterback at the next level.

Recent News:
The Packers scooped up Brohm with pick No. 56 in the second round, the third QB taken.
Insight: Brohm could challenge Aaron Rodgers for the starting job, or at the very least be a capable backup. This is clearly an insurance selection for the Pack, who still may be unsettled at the position after the retirement (?) of you know who. (Marc Pruitt/SportsBuff.com)
