![]() Weaknesses: Limited experience as true fullback. Statline: 1,126 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns as a senior for the Jayhawks; also caught 21 passes for 213 yards. Technique: Played primarily in one-back sets in college; expected to convert to fullback for pros. Known Injuries: None. Combine / Workout Assessment: COMING SOON Analysis: McAnderson’s senior season was a microcosm of the Jayhawks’ 2007 campaign, in that it was wildly successful on the heels of three previously undistinguished efforts. Despite his success in one-back sets at the collegiate level, McAnderson lacks the quickness to be a feature back at the NFL level. However, he’s a tough interior runner, willing blocker and improving receiver who could effectively make the transition to fullback. McAnderson also brings special teams skills to the table, having been named KU’s top special teamer as a junior. His upside in the NFL is a Ron Dayne type, being asked to pummel defenses in a one-cut offense, but he’ll most likely use his versatility to stick around as a special teams contributor, short-yardage runner and emergency tailback. Recent News:
McAnderson made a name for himself in 2007 for the Jayhawks, rushing for 1,125 yards on 190 carries (5.9 ypc) and 16 touchdowns. Will most likely be a first day selection and projects out as a fullback because of his sturdy frame (6-0, 235).
