Strengths: Tremendous vision and instincts. Good burst through hole. Adept pass catcher.
Weaknesses: Smallish for a feature back. Has battled injuries throughout his career.

Statline: 5,755 yards from scrimmage and 43 touchdowns in Michigan career, including 1,419 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns in 2007.

Technique: Vision, burst, and hands make him a perfect fit for a zone blocking system.

Known Injuries: Ankle injury cost him all of three games and parts of two others in 2007. Hamstring and ankle injuries limited him to eight games in 2005.

Combine / Workout Assessment: COMING SOON

Analysis: It’s fitting that perhaps Mike’s greatest attribute is his heart. His vision, burst, and natural running instincts make him a dangerous back, and his receiving skills and willingness to block will keep him on the field in passing situations as well. He fumbled just three times in more than 1,000 touches, and any NFL club would benefit from his presence in the locker room. However, his 5-9 frame took a lot of pounding in college and after seeing him miss time throughout his Wolverine career pro scouts are concerned he won’t hold up at the next level. While he’s quick to and through the hole he doesn’t have that extra gear. Working strictly off the measurables it’s easy to dismiss Hart as a college success story who’s too small and too slow to play on Sundays. But the pro team who takes a chance on Hart may find themselves with far more back than they bargained for.

Recent News:
Hart didn't dazzle scouts at he combine with his speed (4.6), but they were taken with his enthusiasm and passion for the game, as he came across as hungry to be on a roster during interviews. Also displayed good receiving skills.
